Lexie's Chain: The Ninth Chain

Hello once again ma pals! Welcome to Week 9 of #Lexieschain. We got a few new players dis week and some great entries again!

Dis week it woz down to our pal @marleyterrier to make da decishun. So let's see how you dun got on! Here was da entries for dis week:

@CathyKeisha chose Soul Man - Blues Brothers. Why? It's another band, starring in a movie named after the band like The Commitments, that follow in da footsteps of sensashunal black artists.

@I_am_fuzzy Fast Car - Tracey Chapman. Why? Well pals, a mustang is a fast car !

@fizzlebear chose the theme to 'White Horses' because a mustang is a neddy!!

@tartan_terriers chose Somewhere In My Heart by Aztec Camera. Why? Mustang Sally was a song from the film The Commitments written by Roddy Doyle which made us think of another Roddy! Roddy Frame is the singer with Aztec Camera.

@MaggieTKat chose Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets by Della Reese. Why? Mustang Sally is supposedly based on Della Reeves wanting a new Mustang. The character of Mustang Sally did exactly what she pleased. The character of Lola, from the musical Damn Yankees, is another woman who gets exactly what she wants.

@Oz_theTerrier chose Breathless by The Corrs. Why? Last week's link, Mustang Sally was in movie The Commitments, and so was Andrea Corr (as Sharon) from The Corrs and this song is one of my fave The Corrs singles!

@RettetKaninchen chose I Can't Stand The Rain by Tina Turner. Why? Because the song was also part of the movie of The Commitments. Tina and The Commitments covered it both from the original version of Ann Pebbles. And Tina and Ann were both playing together with Cyndi Lauper. And finally: Tina just rocks!!!

@DJLadyLexie chose Goodbye Blue Sky by Pink Floyd.  Why? The Commitments was directed by Alan Parker. He also directed the movie Pink Floyd The Wall. I has chosen by ma favourite song from The Wall – Goodbye Blue Sky.

@Kelsoterrier chose Wild Horses by The Rolling Stones. Why? Well because a Mustang is a wild horse without any commitment to anything. And the Rolling Stones are also mentioned in The Commitments film. And because it's a great song!

And the winner ...... as chosen by @marleyterrier and suggested by ...... @MaggieTKat ....... is ........ Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets by Della Reese.

The year: 1991 (original in 1955)
The song: Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets
Artist: Della Reese

Marley said to me, Lexie, he said: "Hmmm, i fink this do be a easy one for me. I say for you that this is what life is like for me.
