Dis week it woz down to our pal @fizzlebear to make da decishun. So let's see how it went! Here was da entries for dis week:

@Millie_Dog chose Brown Sugar by the Rolling Stones. Ian Brown was lead singer of Stone Roses. Sugar is sweet and so are roses (especially the chocolate variety!). If she bangs a drum a lot it could be a drum roll and a drum roll from the Stone Roses could be the Rolling Stones!

@tartan_terriers chose Crossfire by Brandon Flowers cos roses are flowers!

@rettetkaninchen chose Kowalski from Primal Scream. Mani Mounfield left the Stone Roses and joined Primal Scream in 1996. 1997 Primal Scream released a new album and Kowalski made it to 8th place at the UK charts. 8 years before "She bangs the drum" entered the UK Charts.

@marleyterrier  chose In the Evening by Led Zeppelin cos they haz typists' favrit drummer in the band (John Bonham) and he make the earth move at exactly 58 seconds into this song.....She Bangs the Drum......Typist Bangs the Drum.....Mr Bonham Bangs the Drums (the hardest)....

@bvfeyj (Tucker) chose Let My Love Open the Door by Pete Townshend. The Stone Roses first gig (October 23, 1984) was an anti-heroin concert with Pete Townshend at the Moonlight Club in London.

@Borderpup chose Into Your Arms by the Lemonheads, because the iconic Stone Roses album cover has slices of lemon on it!

And the winner as chosen by @fizzlebear is .... @borderpup (aka Indie) wiv:

The year: 1993

One of the main characters in the musical is called Joe Hardy and he gets a nickname in the musical of 'Shoeless Joe from Hannibal, MO' (MO as in Missouri). That nickname is a reference to the real 'Shoeless Joe Jackson', the famous baseball player. The movie Field of Dreams was based on the book Shoeless Joe by W.P. Kinsella. 'Daydream' by The Lovin' Spoonful was on the movie soundtrack.

Week 9: Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets by Della Reeves. Mustang Sally is supposedly based on Della Reeves wanting a new Mustang. The character of Mustang Sally did exactly what she pleased. The character of Lola, from the musical Damn Yankees, is another woman who gets exactly what she wants.
