Lexie's Chain: The Sixty-Fourth Chain

Hello pals! Welcome to Week 64 of #lexieschain. Dis week was down to Kelso to choose da winner coz of bein da winner last week wiv The Prodigy and Omen. Let's see what da linkies was.

@rettetkaninchen
My suggestion for next week is: Mysterons by Portishead. An Omen says there are Mysterons out there. Well, the Prodigy influenced Trip Hop music during the 90ies. And one of the first and biggest Trip Hop bands is Portishead. Beth Gibbons voice is just wonderful.

@patchdcat
There was a 70’s horror film called “The Omen” so for my linky I will have the film score from that film “Ave Satani”.

@terenceterrier
Last week’s winning linky was “Omen” by The Prodigy . An omen is a phenomenon which is supposed to portend good or evil. Certain birds have omens associated with them. So I look for a birdy group and select The Yardbirds. My linky by them is “For Your Love. *phew – got there in the end*.

@diamondbertie
My choice for this week is Telstar by the Tornados (1962). Why? the winner last week was Prodigy - Omen this was synthesised music and it got me thinking 50 years ago when such music was new and remarkable.

@wonderwinger
Well done to Kelso on ending his little losing steak last week. Last week's winning link was Omen by The Prodigy; in the film The Omen the boy Damien is believed to be the Antichrist. The Devil himself has made very few records but he did once demand a group to play the best song in the world ever or have their souls devoured. That group was Tenacious D. In the video to depict this event, Satan was played by Dave Grohl (better known as the front man of the Foo Fighters). The song they produced is our linky for this week: "Tribute". The drums on this song are played by Dave Grohl who also by coincidence played the drums for The Prodigy on Omen.

@bvfeyj
Last week we dids hab "Omen" by Prodigy. Dis from da album Invaders Must Die. Two more songs from da same album is "Warrior's Dance" and "Run With the Wolves". Dis reminded me ob da bootiful music score from Dances With Wolves... so me say "Dances With Wolves" by John Barry.

@zoetheborder
Ma pal @kelsoterrier chose "Omen" by The Prodigy. I fink it was a good choice, is like when I see Mom putting on makeup, I know is an omen dat she be going out wivout me, wot is probably wot they are referring to in da song. Da song about Mom putting on makeup and abandonment was on da album "Invaders Must Die" and Dave Grohl from de Foo Fighters played drums on anuvver track on dat album wot be called "Run with the Wolves". Obviously dis a good omen b/c we evolved from wolves, well maybe not Wylie...anyway, our favourite Foo Fighters song is "Everlong" which is on "The Colour and the Shape" and dat is da linky we pick!

@djladylexie
Right .. Prodigy with Omen eh?Well The Omen is a filum bowt a devil child fing wot is spawn of satan. He has da number of the best on him to show he the devil. So I chooses Iron Maiden and Number Of The Beast wot be 666!

@marleyterrier
We did be finkin wot an Omen was and of corse it do be a sign of sumfing. That did make us fink of Omen fillums and da evil boy who was Born Under a Bad Sign....which be a song by many peeple incloodin Richard Hawley....which did make us fink about his other songs, includin Coles Corner which be a place where grandma used to take dad when he was a nipper. It be a road in Sheffield near big shop. So we nommynatin that song.

@bunnersandharvs
Well done to da Kelso fur his win dis week. As usual da chainy be a head scratcher fur dese paws but da choice dis week do be Paul Weller's Wake up the Nation Why? Cus he wus nomernated fur da Mercury Prize wot just like dem Prodigy wus too. So dat be da choicy dis week.

@rosieterrier
The omen by the prodigy do put my grandpa in mind of their song 'baby's got a temper' which den leads him to Tinie Tempah' s song 'written in the stars'. Anuvver song relating to stars is The Belle Stars-'Sign of the Times' and dat be our linky.
