Lexie's Chain: The Two Hundred and Twenty Eighth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 228 of #lexieschain. Last week the winner was me wiv Rolling Stones an You Can't Always Get What You Want. Let's see wot appened this week!

@wotterface
Last week's winner was you, again, with the Rolling Stones. The Rolling Stones take their name from the phrase "a rolling stone gathers no moss" meaning if you keep moving you keep fresh and new. But this is the time of year where someone does gather moss so they can make homes for their babies - the birds. So I've chosen Young Fathers with their song Nest, to think about all the birds that are working hard at this time of year to raise their babies.

@sonikebt
Last week Lexie won with the Rolling Stones. When you try you do sometimes get what you need but it's good to remember that we always get what we give. Our link this week is "You get what you give" by New Radicals.

@maggietkat
Congrats on "you can't always get what you want". I think when your luck runs out, you got to,be moving on. I have 2 songs with the same link this week. Sorry, but I couldn't choose.
1. The Rolling Stones got their name from the Muddy Waters song. Muddy was instrumental (pun not really intended) in establishing the Chicago Blues scene. A band in the 60's, the Paul Butterfield Band, was mentored by Muddy and other blues artists. They recorded a Robert Johnson standard, "Walkin Blues" because when you can't get what you want, you better be getting.

2. Not only is the Walkin Blues a classic for how to leave your ex behind. Paul Simon said it best, "50 ways to leave your lover". Of course, I think The Muppets tell it best, and what Amipal doesn't love Animal?

@skye613
So this week DJ Lexie has moved to Beefa. I'll bet that during that fun ride she had some times of dissatisfaction. What's a sweet pup to do?? Well , play a game & sing a song. My linky this week " Rock, Paper , Scissors".
