Larst week pal Skye winned wiv da linky “Son of a Preacher Man” singed by Melissa Etheridge. Yesterday we woz cornered in da front garden by two elderly ladies wot turned owt to be from da local Jehovah Witness church. Dey had some rilly crazy fings to say abowt animals. So I gonna choose a linky by Manic Street Preachers. Cos we still gots lotsa hot weather I pick da songy called “Indian Summer”.

@cloonfourmegan
Last week Skye won with Melissa Etheridge singing Son of A Preacher Man. We are keeping the religious theme going and pick Praise You by FatBoy Slim. We loves the dance troup too!

@claptonterrier
last week Miss Skye won with “Son of a Preacher Man”…so this week we are offering up a song by some actual sons of a preacher man….the band consists of three Followill brothers (and a cousin) who grew up in Oklahoma and Tennessee with their father, Ivan Leon Followill, a United Pentecostal Church preacher. According to Rolling Stone magazine, "While Ivan preached at churches and tent revivals throughout Oklahoma and the Deep South, the boys attended services and were occasionally enlisted to bang on some drums”. So our link is *S*x on Fire* by Kings of Leon.

@maggietkat
Well done Skye with Son of a Preacher man sung by Melissa Etheridge. I am going with a DOUBLE link! 2 of my favorite artists had reverend fathers, Fats Waller and Sam Cooke. So, here is Cooke singing the Waller composition, Ain't Misbehavin.

@diamondbertie
Clever @skye613 won with Son of a Preacher Man sung by Melissa Etheridge, knew that as sung by Dusty Springfield, this great song with its inference of purveyors of religion made me think of Sammy Davis Jr. Singing Rhythm of Life from the musical Sweet Charity.

@sonikebt
@skye613 's winning song last week was Dusty Springfield's "Son of a Preacher Man". Dusty collaborated with the Pet Shop Boys on a few songs including "What have I done to deserve this" which was co-written by Allee Willis. Allee also co-wrote our choice this week which is the theme music from one of the biggest TV shows of the 90's ...... Friends - "I'll be there for you" by The Rembrandts,

@djladylexie
